Amud HaEsh (Pillar of Fire Ministries)

Amud HaEsh (Pillar of Fire Ministries) is an Ethiopian Messianic Jewish congregation and outreach ministry in Jerusalem. Rabbi Kokeb Gedamu, an ordained rabbi of the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues, and Pastor Menalu Gedamu started it in 2015. Its primary mission is reaching the second generation of Ethiopian Jews in Israel, with outreach in Ethiopia as well.

Its goals include training Ethiopian Jewish youth for leadership, helping prisoners leave drug and alcohol addiction, and feeding the poor. It also supports single mothers, helps children integrate into Israeli society and runs family seminars and conferences. The congregation holds that Jewish believers in Yeshua remain Jewish, and it observes the biblical holy days. Shabbat services meet at 11:00 AM.
