Messianic Jewish congregation · Florence, AZ
Beth Mayim Chayim is a Messianic congregation in Florence, Arizona. It describes itself as a community of Jewish and former Gentile believers united by faith in Yeshua the Messiah. Together they seek to grow in G-d's Word, walk in His ways and celebrate His appointed times.
Shabbat services use Hebrew liturgy, always translated into English. Worship music and liturgical dance are part of the gathering, and Yeshua is named as the center of it all. Afterward the community shares a potluck meal called an Oneg, meaning delight. Dress is conservatively casual, except during Torah services, when members dress up.
The congregation affirms one God revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It holds that God's covenant with Israel, the Jewish people, is everlasting, and that Torah and the Land were given to Israel as gifts. Yeshua is understood as the Divine Son, a true Israelite who kept the mitzvot without blemish. He died as atonement for Israel and the world. Messiah's community is seen as one community expressed in diverse forms among the Jewish people and the nations. Families in Messianic Jewish congregations are to be established in their Jewish calling to covenant life. The Torah is described as the constitution of the Jewish people, while also offering practical teaching for all. The community also points families to Generations Homeschool.
