Chevra USA

Chevra USA is a U.S. 501(c)(3) relief organization led by executive director Dr. Michael Schiffman and based in Littleton, Colorado. Its name means "friendship," and it serves as the American arm of an international effort that operates under different names in different countries. Its stated mission is to feed Holocaust survivors and the Jewish poor of Eastern Europe.

The work rests on three areas. It helps Ukrainian Jewish refugees immigrate to Israel, covering documents, passports and transition support with partner groups. Its director speaks to groups about conditions in Ukraine. It ran soup kitchens across Ukraine, most halted by the war. It now delivers food parcels there and aids refugees at neighboring borders.
