Hashivenu is a Messianic Jewish organization founded by Rabbi Stuart Dauermann. In 1997 and 1998 he gathered Rabbis Robert Chenoweth, Mark Kinzer, Paul Saal and Michael Schiffman to articulate seven core values. It envisions a mature Messianic Judaism with substantial continuity with Jewish tradition, energized by faith in Yeshua. Its values hold that Messianic Judaism is a Judaism, that Torah is God's gift to the Jewish people, and that rabbinic tradition is a valued heritage.
Hashivenu held theological forums from 1999 to 2017, beginning in Pasadena, California. In 2000 it launched the Messianic Jewish Theological Institute. Related groups include Camp Or L'Dor, the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council and Interfaithfulness. It has no dues, paid employees or membership.
