Our Rabbi Jesus (Lois Tverberg)

Our Rabbi Jesus is the teaching and writing ministry of Lois Tverberg, an author and speaker on the Jewish context of Christianity. She holds a Ph.D. in biology and left college teaching to study Jesus' first-century Jewish world full-time.

The ministry publishes articles, blog posts and videos that help Christians read the Bible from a Hebraic perspective. Her books include Reading the Bible with Rabbi Jesus (Baker, 2018), Walking in the Dust of Rabbi Jesus and Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus, co-written with Ann Spangler. She co-founded the En-Gedi Resource Center. Tverberg speaks to groups and was lead speaker at the 2026 CMJ-UK conference. She is writing a book with Ugandan scholar Rev. Dr. Milly Erema Maturu.
