Beth Shechinah House of Glory
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Beth Shechinah House of Glory is a Messianic congregation in Calgary, Alberta, planted in 1994. Jewish and non-Jewish believers gather every Shabbat, with prayer at 9:30 and the service at 10:30 on Saturday morning. The congregation describes itself as "loyal to Jewish heritage and true to New Covenant faith." It has met in its own building since 2010. Worship mixes modern and traditional Jewish music with dancing. During the Torah service the scroll is carried around the sanctuary, with the children following behind. Torah is read in Hebrew and English, and teaching comes from the rabbi or guest speakers. A Shabbat school serves the children. Beth Shechinah affirms the deity of Yeshua and holds that Israel remains God's chosen people, never replaced by the Church. It teaches that Jewish followers of Yeshua are called to maintain their Jewish Biblical heritage. Jewish and non-Jewish believers, the congregation believes, have been grafted together as one new man. Torah is understood as God's gift to Israel, with practical instruction for Jewish and Gentile believers alike. The congregation rejects One Law, Sacred Name and Two-House theology, as well as the Hebrew Roots movement. Beyond Shabbat, the community offers Hebrew lessons and home life groups, and has held Passover Seders and Sukkot and Shavuot gatherings. It also leads tour groups to Israel each year.

Rosh Pinah Messianic Jewish Congregation
North York, Ontario, Canada
Rosh Pinah, Hebrew for "corner stone," is a Messianic congregation in North York, Ontario. It serves Jewish and non-Jewish people who seek to worship the God of Israel. The name comes from Ephesians 2:20, where Messiah Yeshua is the cornerstone. Shabbat services meet Saturday mornings at 10:30, in person and online through YouTube and Zoom. Rabbi Andrew leads the community. Worship blends some traditional Jewish liturgy with Messianic Jewish and contemporary praise songs. Beyond the weekly service, the community gathers on Erev Shabbat and keeps the yearly appointed times, including Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot. Children learn the stories of the Bible in their original context. The fellowship also has a bowling alley. Rosh Pinah holds that the Tenach and the Apostolic Writings are the inspired Word of God. Yeshua is affirmed as the only begotten Son of God, the Messiah of Israel and the Saviour of the world. The congregation believes in God's eternal covenant with national Israel and in Israel's restoration as a nation. It understands the Messianic Kehilla as one body of Jewish and Gentile believers. The gifts of the Ruach, it teaches, are operational today. Rosh Pinah is a member congregation of the IAMCS.

Shalom Restoration Fellowship
Orleans, Ontario, Canada
Shalom Restoration Fellowship, in Ottawa, calls itself "A Messianic One New Man Congregation." Jews and Gentiles worship Yeshua together here. Every Shabbat morning at 10:00 the community gathers for worship, the Word and prayer, in a service of about two hours. Children's Shabbat School begins at 11:00. The congregation holds that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel and that Jews and Gentiles are justified only by faith in him. Through Messiah, it teaches, Gentiles are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel. Unity in Yeshua does not erase identity. Jews are not to seek to become Gentiles, and Gentiles are not to seek to become Jews. Torah is understood as fulfilled in Messiah, so believers are not under its obligation. Both Jewish and Gentile believers remain free to keep aspects of Torah and Jewish identity that do not violate Scripture. Shabbat and the Feasts of the Lord are kept at their appointed times, along with Chanukah and Purim. For Gentile members, observance of days is a matter of personal conscience and is not made a requirement. Communal meals avoid non-kosher food. The fellowship also helps Jewish people make aliyah. Its services draw on elements from both Jewish and Gentile Christian tradition.

Tikkun America
City of David Messianic Synagogue
Thornhill, Ontario, Canada
City of David Messianic Synagogue gathers in Thornhill, in the Greater Toronto Area, for Shabbat service on Saturdays at 11:00am. Jewish and non-Jewish believers worship together and describe themselves as "dedicated to following Yeshua and living a Jewish lifestyle." Each week's service is recorded and posted to YouTube that afternoon, usually by 4:00pm. Rabbi Jeff Forman and his wife Janet founded the synagogue in 1995. Before that, he served about six years as Assistant Messianic Rabbi of Congregation Beth Yeshua in Philadelphia. The family moved to Canada in September 1995 to begin the work. City of David is a member synagogue of the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues, which ordained Rabbi Jeff. The congregation holds that Yeshua is the promised Jewish Messiah of Israel. It teaches that the foundation of Messianic Judaism is the person of Messiah, rather than the Oral Law of the rabbis. Thirteen Articles of Faith set out its doctrine, including water immersion (tavilah). Jewish and Gentile believers, in its understanding, are together the "seed of Abraham" by faith. Guided by the phrase L'dor V'dor, it offers activities for children, youth and young adults. A series of short Jewish Life videos explores the feasts, history and practice from a Messianic Jewish perspective.

Temple Yeshua
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Temple Yeshua is a congregation in Victoria, British Columbia, that calls itself a "One New Man" congregation. Jewish and Gentile believers gather every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for a service of about two hours. Services are also livestreamed. The congregation belongs to Tikkun, a coalition of apostolic and prophetic ministries based mainly in Israel and America. Ephesians 2 and 3 sit at the center of its vision. Temple Yeshua teaches that Jews and Gentiles followed different paths for centuries, and that this separation is now passing away. Jewish and Gentile believers, as equals and joint heirs, are understood to form one body in Messiah. The congregation affirms that the gifts and the call of Israel are irrevocable. It holds that Yeshua is both God and Man and that people are justified only by faith in Him. He will return, they believe, to reign from Jerusalem. Its mission includes helping believers honour the Jewish roots of the faith and understand the Feasts of the Lord. It also aims to help Jewish people return to Israel. Marty Shoub serves as Pastor At Large, and Bill Southward is Pastor Emeritus. Teaching through the year marks the feasts, including Yom Teruah, Sukkot, Passover and Simchat Torah. The community also has a children's ministry, home groups, a men's group, a ladies' breakfast and a prayer ministry.
