Adat HaTikvah
Louisville, KYAdat HaTikvah, whose name means "Congregation of The Hope," is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Louisville. Its members are Jewish and Gentile people who believe Yeshua is the promised Messiah. Shabbat services begin each Saturday at 11:00, after a time of prayer at 9:00. On the first Saturday of every month, the service is a full Torah Service. Worship draws on Messianic and Israeli songs. Teaching is based on the complete Bible, both the Tenach and the B'rit Hadashah. The community celebrates all the feasts and holy days ordained by Adonai in the Torah and kept by Messiah Yeshua. Bibles, siddurs and machzors are on hand for those who need them. The congregation holds the Bible to be the inerrant and final authority in faith and practice. It reads the Shema as declaring G-d a composite unity: Father, Son and Ruach HaKodesh. Adat HaTikvah affirms the deity of Yeshua, his atoning death, his bodily resurrection and his return in glory. For its Jewish members, the calling is distinct. As Jewish followers of Yeshua, they believe they are called to "remain a part of our people, Israel." Adat HaTikvah
Deerfield, ILAdat HaTikvah is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Deerfield, Illinois. Its name means "congregation of the hope." Every Saturday at 10:00 a.m., the community gathers for a Torah service. Rabbi Jacob Rosenberg leads the congregation. Its teaching runs "to the Jewish people first" and also to the nations. The biblical calendar sits at the center of that teaching. Scripture is read as one story from beginning to end. The congregation's roots go back to 1934. David and Ester Bronstein founded it that year as the First Hebrew Christian Church of Chicago, growing out of a Jewish mission house ministry called Peniel Center. In 1974 the name changed to Adat Hatikvah. Over the decades it met in Albany Park, East Rogers Park, West Rogers Park and Evanston before settling in Deerfield. The community calls itself "a group of regular people who want to honor Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah." Music, prayer, dance and preaching all have a place, with God's word at the center. It reads Deuteronomy 6:4 through the Hebrew word Echad, understood as a plural One. Both the Tanakh and the Brit Chadasha are received as the inspired Word of God. Salvation, it teaches, comes by faith through grace alone, not by human effort. The congregation affirms God's covenants with the physical people of Israel. The return of Israel to the Promised Land is part of their fulfillment. Gentiles who trust in Yeshua are grafted into the olive tree. This does not make them Jewish, though they are joint heirs of the promise. Two House teaching is rejected as a form of replacement theology. Beth Israel holds that the Scriptures of both Testaments are the Word of God. It teaches that salvation is a free gift in Messiah Jesus/Yeshua, not attained by good works. The community affirms that God has not "forgotten, rejected, or replaced" His calling and promises to the children of Israel. It also believes in the literal return of Messiah to Israel to reign on the throne of David. Every main service includes children's ministry, a nursery and Spanish translation. Loveland, OHBeth Messiah is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Loveland, Ohio, in the Greater Cincinnati area. It also goes by Beth Messiah Synagogue. Every Saturday at 11:00 AM, the community gathers for its weekly Torah Service. The congregation holds that Yeshua is the promised Jewish Messiah. His death provides a permanent kipporah, or atonement, for sin, and his coming will bring peace to the earth. Jews here embrace and strengthen their Jewish identity and heritage as believers in Yeshua. Non-Jews embrace Israel, prioritize a Jewish expression of their faith, and serve alongside Jewish believers. Together, Beth Messiah teaches, they have been made echad (one) in Messiah. Its mission rests on a lifestyle of faith called Biblical Judaism. The community seeks to reveal Yeshua first to the people of Israel and to stand with Israel against hatred. Services blend traditional Jewish liturgy with what the congregation calls "Davidic Worship." Israeli dancing, clapping and raised hands are part of a typical service. Jewish holidays and festivals are celebrated, and families raise their children in a Messianic Jewish lifestyle. Rabbi Michael Wolf leads Beth Messiah. Children receive age-appropriate Torah teaching, with a check-in and pick-up process for parents. Youth can prepare for Bar or Bat Mitzvah, help with children, run audio, video and lighting, or join the music band. After the service comes oneg, a potluck Shabbat fellowship meal. Members bring ready-made dishes and warm them on site, since they do not cook on Shabbat. Lunch is provided for guests, who need not bring anything.IAMCSMJAA
Temple Aron Hakodesh
Lauderdale Lakes, FLTemple Aron HaKodesh is a Messianic synagogue in South Florida. It describes itself as "a New Covenant community of Jews and non-Jews called to be one in the Messiah, Yeshua." Temple New Jerusalem
Tarpon Springs, FLTemple New Jerusalem is a Messianic synagogue in Tarpon Springs, Florida. It gathers every Saturday at 10:30 AM for Shabbat, and the service is also livestreamed. Rabbi Michael Stepakoff leads the congregation, which is affiliated with the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS). Jewish and non-Jewish people worship together here. They believe that Yeshua is the promised Messiah and that he came for all people. Non-Jewish members are described as "grafted into an olive tree with Jewish roots." The community understands a messianic synagogue as a house of prayer for Jew and Gentile alike, and interfaith couples are welcome. The Shabbat service blends traditional synagogue worship with modern Messianic praise. Prayers come from the siddur. The Torah is processed with rejoicing, and the weekly parsha is read in Hebrew and translated into English. Davidic dance is open to anyone and entirely optional. The Bridge Messianic Fellowship
Meridian, IDThe Bridge Messianic Fellowship gathers in Meridian, Idaho, every Saturday for Shabbat. Jews and Gentiles worship together here, and the community describes its practice as "the ancient faith of Messianic Judaism." Mark and Judy Rich lead the congregation. Since 2019 it has belonged to the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues. It is also part of the Foursquare movement. The congregation honors Yeshua as God and Messiah. It holds the Tanakh and the Apostolic Scriptures to be the authoritative Word of God. It teaches justification by faith alone, alongside honoring the Torah in obedience, including the Sabbath and holy days. Non-Jewish believers, it holds, are grafted into Israel without becoming Jewish. The Bridge affirms that God's covenants with the Jewish people continue, and it rejects replacement theology in all its forms. Shabbat morning opens with Torah Study at 9:30, reading and discussing the weekly portion together. Open prayer follows at 10:30. The 11:00 service begins with Ma Tovu and the Sh'ma, then moves into contemporary worship and a message. Children have their own class during the message. On the first Shabbat of each month, the study moves into a Torah Service. It includes a Torah processional, a short Hebrew reading and discussion of the portion. A potluck Oneg follows, and services are livestreamed. Tehillah, an evening of worship and prayer, meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm.MessianicIAMCSMJAA
The Olive Tree Messianic Fellowship
Madisonville, TNThe Olive Tree Messianic Fellowship is a Messianic synagogue in Madisonville, Tennessee, where Jews and Gentiles worship together. Rabbi Robert Ritchey founded it in December 2012, during Hanukkah. The community began in a shared facility and bought its current building in 2015. Services are held Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and are also live streamed. The congregation worships according to the "Biblical culture found in the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the Brit Chadashah (New Testament)," in light of Messiah Yeshua. It teaches that Yeshua is fully G-D and fully man, and that salvation comes by grace through faith in him. Jewish people who trust in Yeshua remain Jewish, the fellowship holds. Gentiles who believe are grafted into the olive tree of Israel by faith, becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. As a congregation they keep Shabbat, the biblical feast days and the kosher dietary laws. They affirm the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel. Belief in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in gifts including prophecy and tongues is part of their confession. The fellowship states that it is not part of the Two House, Sacred Name, One Law or British Israelism movements. In 2019 The Olive Tree joined the IAMCS, a branch of the MJAA. Tikvat Yisrael
Chesterland, OHTikvat Yisrael Messianic Synagogue gathers in Chesterland, Ohio, every Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for Shabbat worship, in person and by livestream. Its roots go back to 1975, when a small group of Messianic Jews met weekly in home groups in Cleveland. The congregation was incorporated in Ohio on April 4, 1978. Rabbi Eric David Lakatos leads the community. He came as a candidate in early 2008. Tikvat Yisrael describes itself as a community of Jewish and Gentile believers committed to faith in Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah. It teaches that Jewish people who believe in Yeshua remain Jewish and are called to keep Shabbat as a covenant sign. Gentile believers are understood as grafted into the olive tree. They join as full members without converting, and may keep Jewish customs and holidays without being required to. The congregation holds that salvation has always been by faith, and it affirms the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel. It categorically rejects Hebrew Roots, Two-House and Ephraimite theology. Services run about an hour and a half. They include Messianic worship music, Davidic dance, an abbreviated Torah service and a 30-minute shiur from the rabbi. Children may join the Torah procession. A nursery serves ages 0 to 4, and Shabbat School meets during the shiur. Every other week, teens ages 13 to 18 gather for an afternoon Youth Shabbaton. Tree of Life Congregation
Comstock Park, MIAdat Eytz Chayim is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Comstock Park, Michigan. It gathers each Saturday for a Shabbat service from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Oneg follows, a potluck meal shared by the community, and newcomers need not bring anything. Torah study runs from 2 to 4 that afternoon in an open format where everyone can take part. The group works through the weekly portion, its connections to the Gospel and its bearing on modern life. On Wednesday evenings at 7, a Torah Club meets as well. The congregation understands its practice through the first believers. Yeshua and the believers of the first century faithfully followed the Judaism of their day. In the same way, this community practices a Messianic Judaism centered on the Messiah. That practice is enriched by the traditions of the forefathers. Torah study itself is treated as a form of worship. The community describes itself as "Rooted in Torah and centered on Yeshua." Hebrew is a large part of congregational life. Beyond what is picked up in services, Adat Eytz Chayim offers Hebrew classes for beginners and more advanced students. Midweek Bible studies and Davidic Dance worship are also part of the week.MessianicUMJCIAMCSMJAA
Tree of Life Congregation
Scottsdale, AZTree of Life Messianic Congregation gathers in Scottsdale, Arizona, for a Shabbat service on Saturday mornings at 10:30. A dance practice follows at 1:00. Founded in 2000, the community describes itself as a multicultural fellowship of Jews, Christians and intermarried families. Its mission has stayed the same since the start: to share the good news of the Jewish Messiah for all people. The congregation holds that Yeshua is Israel's Messiah, foretold in the Tanakh and revealed in the B'rit Hadasha. It affirms that He is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. Grace, in its teaching, can never be earned and is received through faith alone. Members gather to continue their Jewish heritage and to follow the teachings of the Tanakh and B'rit Hadasha. Messianic Jews, as Tree of Life understands them, remain faithful to their heritage, celebrate Biblical holidays and observe Jewish practices. The Jewish people, it teaches, are a covenant community for whom God's promises in the Hebrew Scriptures are still in effect. It believes God will return them to their land and reinstate Israel as His Messianic Kingdom. The congregation also holds that bigotry, racism and anti-Semitism deface God's image. Each of its beliefs is paired with a line from Jewish liturgy, drawn from sources such as the Amidah and the Mahzor.IAMCSMJAA
