Huntsville Messianic Fellowship

Huntsville Messianic Fellowship describes itself as a Messianic Jewish congregation made up of Jews and non-Jews. They gather to worship the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the name of Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah. Shabbat is celebrated with modern music and traditional Jewish liturgy. Readings come from both the Tanakh and the B'rit Chadashah, and the community keeps the Holy Appointed Times of the Bible.

The congregation holds that Yeshua is the promised Mashiach of Israel and that the Son is God, existing eternally. Salvation, it teaches, has always been by faith, and works of law have never saved anyone. Jewish people who trust in Yeshua remain Jewish, in its understanding. Gentile believers are "grafted into" the Jewish olive tree of faith, becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. Jews and Gentiles worship the God of Israel together. The fellowship affirms the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel and sees the rebirth of the State of Israel as fulfilled prophecy. Out of respect for the holy names of God, members use HaShem and ADONAI in the traditional Jewish way.

Scott Lawrence serves as Senior Congregational Leader. The community has a Hebrew instructor, youth ministers and a children's director.
