Brit Ahm Messianic Synagogue gathers in Pensacola, Florida, and calls itself "a Family of Families." Its main worship gathering is the Shabbat service at 10:00 am, which usually runs two to two and a half hours. Children stay with their families for the whole service, dance included, and crayons and an activity sheet are provided each week. Visitors are asked to dress comfortably and modestly.
The community describes itself as Yeshua-centered and Torah-pursuant, made up of believers both Jewish and non-Jewish. It understands its faith as Biblical Judaism and finds it consistent to follow both Judaism and the Jewish Messiah, Yeshua. Jewish people who trust in Yeshua remain Jewish, the congregation teaches. Gentile believers are grafted into the olive tree as spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. Salvation, it holds, has always been by faith, and works of law have never saved anyone. The Tanakh and Brit Chadashah together form its final authority, and the Biblical Holy Days are observed with their fulfillment in Yeshua.
Rabbi Eric Tokajer has served Brit Ahm since 2006, alongside Rebbitzen Pammy. He helped establish six other Messianic synagogues along the Gulf Coast. Each week the congregation follows a reading cycle of Torah, Haftarah and Brit Chadashah portions.
