Messianic Jewish congregation · Plano, TX
Eitz Chaim Congregation is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Plano, Texas, part of greater Dallas. Shabbat services begin every Saturday at 10:30 AM. An oneg fellowship meal follows, then an afternoon Bible study. Each service opens with Hebrew praises adapted from the siddur.
Jews and Gentiles worship together here as one faith family. The congregation seeks to "restore the original First Century Jewish Roots of the Messianic faith." It teaches that Gentile believers are grafted into the olive tree of Israel. Jewish followers of Yeshua, it holds, are called to maintain Jewish biblical heritage and remain part of Israel. Eitz Chaim affirms that Yeshua is fully divine and the promised Messiah of Israel and the world. Torah is not annulled by Yeshua, yet righteousness comes solely by grace through faith. Reaching the Jewish people with the good news is a core priority.
Families may worship together throughout the service, and children may also join Shabbat School classes during the drash. Junior Shabbat studies the weekly Torah reading and introduces one Hebrew letter each week. A Bar/Bat Mitzvah program, Davidic dance, youth and young adult groups, home groups and a prison ministry round out congregational life. Árbol De Vida, a Spanish-language ministry, gathers Saturdays at 10:30. Eitz Chaim belongs to the MJAA and the IAMCS.
