Baruch HaShem Messianic Cong.

Messianic Jewish congregation · San Antonio, TX

About

Baruch HaShem Messianic Congregation gathers in San Antonio, Texas, for Shabbat each week. Erev Shabbat begins Friday at 7:15 p.m., and Boker Shabbat follows on Saturday at 11 a.m. A Spanish Sephardic service meets Saturday afternoon at 2:30. Worship brings together traditional Shabbat liturgy, a Torah service, readings from the Torah, praise and Davidic dance. Senior Rabbi Roi Garcia leads the congregation. Dress usually falls between business casual and casual.

The congregation proclaims Yeshua as Messiah and Lord. It describes its calling as "sharing the Gospel with Israel, serving the Church, and welcoming all to worship with us." Jew and Gentile worshipping together as one new man, following Ephesians 2, is part of how it understands New Covenant truth. It stands with Israel and believes God is restoring both the land and the people to His covenant promises. Teaching the Jewish roots of faith to the Christian church is part of its mission. It celebrates the Sabbath and the biblical festivals. Its leaders commit to the Apostles' Creed, rendered with Hebrew names such as Abba, El Shaddai and Ruach HaKodesh.

On Thursdays at 7 p.m., Digging Deeper offers an interactive Bible study, and a women's Bible study meets at the same hour. Classes in Biblical Hebrew meet on Sundays at 2 p.m. Services are also livestreamed.
