Congregation Ammudim is a Messianic congregation in Fayetteville, Georgia, founded in 2024 by a group of biblical Messianic believers. Ammudim is the Hebrew word for pillars, and the name reflects its aim to help God's people stand as pillars of truth. It belongs to the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues. Its outreach is to the Jewish community, intermarried couples, and anyone who wants to explore the Word of God.
The congregation holds that God's covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is eternal and still in effect. It sees the modern state of Israel and the regathering of Jews as prophetic fulfillment of Scripture. Jewish people who trust in Yeshua remain Jewish, it teaches. Gentile believers are grafted into the olive tree as spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. Salvation, in its view, has always been by faith, never by works of law. Ammudim celebrates the Jewish Holy Days and sees their fulfillment in Yeshua. Speaking as Messianic Jews, it rejects Hebrew Roots, Two-House and Ephraimite teaching. It also rejects the One Law view, which insists on Torah observance for Gentile believers everywhere.
Rabbi David Levitt founded the congregation and serves as its lead rabbi, alongside his wife, Kassy. He began teaching online through Ammudim Ministries in 2022 and served two years as an assistant Messianic rabbi before starting the congregation. Shabbat service teachings are shared online. Some members wear tallit and kippah, and coffee, tea and water follow each week's service. Virtual Zoom ministry calls offer group and one-on-one support.
