Beth Yeshua International

Messianic Jewish congregation · Macon, GA

About

Beth Yeshua International is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Macon, Georgia, led by Rabbi Greg Hershberg. Jews and Gentiles worship the God of Israel together here, with raised hands, clapping, dancing and instruments. For Christians, the congregation offers a place to explore the Jewish roots of their faith. Its worship is also livestreamed.

The congregation holds that the Tenach and the B'rit Hadasha together are the only infallible and authoritative word of God. It affirms that Yeshua is God, eternally existent, and the promised Mashiach of Israel. Salvation, it teaches, has always been by faith, and works of law have never saved anyone. Jewish people who trust in Yeshua remain Jewish. Gentiles who believe are "grafted into" the Jewish olive tree, becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. The community celebrates the Feasts of the Lord from Leviticus 23. It believes in the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel and does not support Two House doctrine.

Rabbi Hershberg was born in the Bronx in 1959 and grew up attending an Orthodox synagogue. He came to faith in Yeshua in 1989, while on his honeymoon in Israel. Beyond Shabbat worship, the congregation has a men's ministry called P112 Messiah's Militia.
