Beth Israel Worship Center, also known as The Jerusalem Center, gathers in Wayne, New Jersey, about twenty minutes from New York City. It is the home ministry of Jonathan Cahn and describes itself as a Messianic congregation. Two different worship services meet each week. Friday night begins at 8pm, and Sunday morning services start at 10am and 11:30am.
The sanctuary is built to recall Jerusalem. Its walls reproduce the city's walls and gates, and the back of the stage is modeled on the Western Wall. The congregation sees this as a picture of restoring the faith to its original context.
Beth Israel holds that the Scriptures of both Testaments are the Word of God. It teaches that salvation is a free gift in Messiah Jesus/Yeshua, not attained by good works. The community affirms that God has not "forgotten, rejected, or replaced" His calling and promises to the children of Israel. It also believes in the literal return of Messiah to Israel to reign on the throne of David.
Every main service includes children's ministry, a nursery and Spanish translation. A Spanish ministry meets on Thursday nights. The Arise and Shine Academy offers free courses, including biblical Hebrew and Greek. A midweek Bible study meets on Wednesdays.
