Congregation Baruch HaShem is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Phoenix, Arizona. Shabbat services meet Saturdays from 4:30 to 6:00 in the afternoon, in person and by YouTube livestream. Each service brings together liturgy, worship and a message. Worship draws on Jewish tradition, with singing in Hebrew and English and plenty of Hebrew terminology. Men often wear kippahs, tallits and tzit tzit, and the Shabbat dress code is modest dressy casual.
The congregation holds that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world, fully God and fully man. It teaches that he was foretold by the Hebrew Scriptures and offers redemption through his death and resurrection. Its mission is "to grow a Messianic Jewish community that wholeheartedly loves God and loves people." Its vision looks toward the Kingdom of God established in Israel and the nations.
Community life runs through Kesher groups, named for the Hebrew word for connection. They meet weekly on a semester schedule. Newcomers can take the Mishpacha Growth Track, a four-week class after service covering the congregation's history and beliefs. Nosh and childcare are provided. The community also runs CBH Kids and Ner Yah Youth. A Senior Rabbi leads the congregation, with four rabbis and two pastors serving as overseers.
