Baruch HaShem Assembly
Phoenix, AZ
Congregation Baruch HaShem is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Phoenix, Arizona. Shabbat services meet Saturdays from 4:30 to 6:00 in the afternoon, in person and by YouTube livestream. Each service brings together liturgy, worship and a message. Worship draws on Jewish tradition, with singing in Hebrew and English and plenty of Hebrew terminology. Men often wear kippahs, tallits and tzit tzit, and the Shabbat dress code is modest dressy casual. The congregation holds that Yeshua is the promised Messiah of Israel and the Savior of the world, fully God and fully man. It teaches that he was foretold by the Hebrew Scriptures and offers redemption through his death and resurrection. Its mission is "to grow a Messianic Jewish community that wholeheartedly loves God and loves people." Its vision looks toward the Kingdom of God established in Israel and the nations. Community life runs through Kesher groups, named for the Hebrew word for connection. They meet weekly on a semester schedule. Newcomers can take the Mishpacha Growth Track, a four-week class after service covering the congregation's history and beliefs. Nosh and childcare are provided. The community also runs CBH Kids and Ner Yah Youth. A Senior Rabbi leads the congregation, with four rabbis and two pastors serving as overseers.

MJAA
Jewish Voice Ministries
Phoenix, AZ
Jewish Voice Ministries International is an outreach ministry to Jewish people based in Phoenix, Arizona, rather than a local congregation. Louis Kaplan founded it in January 1967 as Jewish Voice Broadcasts, airing a weekly radio program. In 2001 it merged with Hear O Israel Ministries and took its present name. Rabbi Jonathan Bernis has served as president and CEO since 1998. The ministry holds that Jesus the Messiah is the ultimate fulfillment of Jewish identity as God's Chosen People. Following Romans 1:16, it teaches that the Gospel goes "to the Jew first and also to Gentiles." Its stated aim is to see all Israel saved. Alongside that, it works to grow the Messianic Jewish community and to engage the Church concerning Israel and the Jewish people. Medical and humanitarian outreaches serve Jewish communities and their neighbors in Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Malawi. In Israel, partner ministries run feeding programs, trauma care, help for immigrants and care for Holocaust survivors. The ministry also plants Messianic congregations and teaches believers about the Jewish roots of faith in Jesus. Rabbi Bernis separately leads Heritage LA, a Messianic congregation in Los Angeles.
