Beit-HaDerekh
Midland, TX
Beit HaDerekh is a Messianic congregation in Midland, in West Texas, established in 2006. Most of its members are non-Jews who have come from many different denominational and religious backgrounds. They gather each Shabbat at 10:30am for prayer, worship, teaching and fellowship. Afterward comes Oneg, a fellowship meal named for the "pleasure or joy" of the Sabbath. Members believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and in Yeshua as the Jewish Messiah and Savior of the world. The congregation calls itself "Pro-Yeshua, pro-Torah, Pro-Chazal (Rabbis), Pro-Israel, Pro-Temple." Commitment to the Torah and the Besorah of the Messiah, they teach, brings restoration of the soul and tikkun olam. Its stated mission is to push the Geulah, or Redemption, forward. Proclaiming God's love and salvation in the name of Yeshua is its stated goal. The community observes Shabbat and the feasts of Leviticus 23. These run from Passover and Sefirat HaOmer through Shavuot, Rosh HaShanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot. Hanukkah and Purim are kept as well. Beit HaDerekh also offers livestreams and its own app.
