Beth T'filah, whose name means House of Prayer, is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Miramar, in Broward County. Jews and Gentiles worship together here, and the community describes itself as "rooted in Torah & Messiah Yeshua." Shabbat service begins Saturdays at 11:00 a.m. and is livestreamed on YouTube. An oneg lunch follows. The congregation also gathers on the High Holy Days and for announced events, including a family Erev Shabbat dinner with Kabbalat Shabbat.
Beth T'filah has adopted the UMJC statement of faith. It holds that God's covenant with Israel is everlasting and that Torah was given to Israel as a covenantal way of life. Torah serves as the constitution of the Jewish people and of the Messianic Jewish community. For Messianic communities from the nations, it has a different role, offering spiritual nourishment and universal norms of behavior. The congregation affirms Yeshua as the divine Son and Israel's Messiah. He died as an atonement for the sins of Israel and the whole world.
Families stand at the center of its mission, especially Jewish families, with the faith taught from generation to generation. The community supports the State of Israel and practices tzedakah at home and abroad. Under the heading Pirkei Avot, it teaches the moral and ethical foundations shared by the Jewish Messianic and Christian traditions.
