About

Tikvat David is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Roswell, Georgia, and a member of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations. The name means "hope of David" in Hebrew. The community believes that hope is found in Yeshua, Messiah and King of Israel. Its stated vision is "a Yeshua-centered Judaism for Israel and the Nations." It follows the halakhic guidance of the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council.

Saturday is the main gathering. Shacharit prayers begin at 9:30 in the morning, mostly in Hebrew. The Family Torah Service and Musaf follow at 10:45, with music, a reading from the Torah scroll and a drash. A study hour for adults comes next, with parallel classes for children and youth. Kiddush and oneg are a shared lunch, and Mincha follows in the afternoon. The main services are streamed live, and virtual membership is offered.

The congregation teaches that two thousand years of anti-Jewish thought divided Yeshua from Judaism and the Jewish people. It understands its work as bringing them back together. Jews here live out their covenant calling as Jews, with Yeshua at the center of their Torah observance. Gentiles who wish to practice Judaism are valued as a distinct, equal and essential part of Messianic Judaism. The community seeks to grow in observing the Torah according to traditional Jewish norms. It counts itself part of the Atlanta Jewish community and builds ties with Messianic congregations and churches. A men's study group often meets on Tuesday evenings.
