Congregation Mayim Chayim
Sarasota, FL
Congregation Mayim Chayim is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Sarasota, Florida. The synagogue is temporarily closed. Its Jewish and non-Jewish families worship the God of Israel through Yeshua the Messiah in a traditional Jewish space. The congregation holds that a Messianic Jewish congregation is a sign, demonstration and catalyst of God's purposes for Israel. Its stated aim is "to make Israel's final destiny a living reality." Jews and non-Jews stand equally before God in its teaching. Their roles are distinct, and each has a unique purpose in God's plan. Jewish members live culturally as Jews, observe Torah and keep Jewish homes. For this community, faith in Yeshua brings no detriment to Jewish identity. Mayim Chayim calls itself "the Jewish wing of the body of Messiah." It counts itself part of the Jewish community and a partner with the Christian church in advancing the good news. Many Jews are not comfortable in churches, the congregation notes. It seeks to prevent assimilation and preserve a Jewish remnant within the body of Messiah, citing Romans 11:4-5. A second focus is raising up future generations of Jewish believers. The synagogue gives particular attention to discipling families, so that HaShem is honored dor l'dor, from generation to generation.

Eitz Chaim Sarasota
Sarasota, FL
Eitz Chaim Sarasota is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Sarasota, Florida, and a sister congregation of Eitz Chaim Messianic Synagogue in Dallas. It describes itself as a family-integrated Messianic synagogue. On Shabbat the community gathers Saturday mornings at 10:30, followed by an oneg and afternoon activities. Torah study meets every Saturday at 1:30. The congregation's mission is to exalt Yeshua as the Messiah and LORD of Israel and the world. It seeks to be like the first Jerusalem congregation, where Jew and non-Jew stand "as one new man, equal before God." Sharing the good news of Yeshua comes with a special emphasis on reaching the Jewish community. Eitz Chaim also speaks of reviving the First Century Jewish roots of the Messianic faith. Its name, Tree of Life, points to the Word of God and to Yeshua, the Living Word. Worship includes singing and dancing. The community celebrates the biblical feasts, the High Holy Days and life-cycle events such as Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. Whole families take part together in services, home groups and ministries, and the congregation welcomes inter-faith families. Eitz Chaim is a member of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America and the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues.
