B’rit Hadasha
Memphis, TNB'rit Hadasha Messianic Jewish Synagogue gathers in Memphis, Tennessee, where Jewish and non-Jewish followers of Yeshua worship together. The name is Hebrew for "New Covenant." Shabbat morning service begins at 10:30 on Saturdays and is also streamed live. At 9:00, a group studies the weekly parashah, with a Zoom option, while a prayer team meets. The congregation holds that Yeshua is the Messiah of Israel and the whole earth, and it affirms his deity. Its Scriptures are the Tanakh together with the Apostolic Writings. All believers in Yeshua, it teaches, are "partakers of the spiritual inheritance of Israel." It believes Israel is chosen by God, and it understands the return of the Jewish people to the land as fulfillment of prophecy. The community seeks to keep the Sabbath and the Feasts and to embrace a Jewish life and identity "rooted in Torah, expressed in tradition." It also trains churches in the Jewish roots of the faith. Children age 4 to 11 attend Shabbat School after the worship and Torah service, and nursery care covers those 4 and under. A community oneg follows the service once a month, normally on the second Shabbat. The calendar also includes Erev Rosh Chodesh services, a monthly Kaddish, Zichron Mashiach, game nights and a Sunday afternoon women's Bible study.Tikkun AmericaUMJC
Kol Dodi
Franklin, TNKol Dodi is a Messianic congregation in Franklin, Tennessee, home to Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Yeshua. It gathers Saturday mornings at 11, in person or online. Worship mixes contemporary and traditional styles, followed by in-depth study of the parashah, the weekly Torah portion, with a focus on Yeshua. A time of fellowship follows, and a prayer team is available. The congregation holds that the Tanakh and the Apostolic Writings together are the authoritative Word of God. It does not accept an additional Oral Torah given at Sinai. Jewish followers of Yeshua, it teaches, are called to maintain their Jewish biblical heritage and remain part of the people Israel. Gentile followers are called to unity with them while remaining Gentiles in identity. Together, the congregation says, they form a witness of the "one new man." It does not hold to One Law theology or Two-House teaching. Kol Dodi affirms that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people in perpetuity and stands with the State of Israel. Its parent organizations are the MJAA and the IAMCS. Rabbi Ken and Frances Alpren lead the community. Rabbi Ken grew up in a Jewish home near Philadelphia. Frances is a Sephardic Jew from Lima, Peru. After planting congregations elsewhere, the Alprens returned to Nashville to found Kol Dodi. Children's Shabbat school runs during the Saturday service for children from infancy through high school.IAMCSMJAA
Shomair Yisrael
Knoxville, TNShomair Yisrael is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Knoxville, Tennessee, made up of Jewish and non-Jewish people of all ages. Every Saturday, Bible study begins at 9:30 AM and the Shabbat service follows at 10:30, also streamed live. That service brings together praise, worship, a Torah service, a message and communion. Tallit and kippa are optional for men and women alike. Children stay with their parents throughout. The congregation holds that God entered an everlasting covenant with Israel and gave the Torah as a covenantal way of life. Torah serves as the constitution of the Jewish people and of the Messianic Jewish community. For communities from the nations it does not have the same role, though it offers spiritual nourishment and practical teaching. Yeshua is affirmed as the Divine Son and Israel's Messiah, who died as an atonement for Israel and the whole world. Among its goals are supporting the State of Israel and promoting "the restoration of the Church to its Jewish roots." Shomair traces its start to July 1997, when Rabbi Michael Weiner prayed with two others at a Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations conference. He founded the congregation with his late wife, Ann, and remains its rabbi. Keith Henschen has served as congregational leader since August 2022. The congregation is under the oversight of Tikkun America. Home groups and Rosh Chodesh gatherings appear on its calendar, along with the High Holidays.Tikkun AmericaUMJC
The Olive Tree Messianic Fellowship
Madisonville, TNThe Olive Tree Messianic Fellowship is a Messianic synagogue in Madisonville, Tennessee, where Jews and Gentiles worship together. Rabbi Robert Ritchey founded it in December 2012, during Hanukkah. The community began in a shared facility and bought its current building in 2015. Services are held Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. and are also live streamed. The congregation worships according to the "Biblical culture found in the Tanakh (Old Testament) and the Brit Chadashah (New Testament)," in light of Messiah Yeshua. It teaches that Yeshua is fully G-D and fully man, and that salvation comes by grace through faith in him. Jewish people who trust in Yeshua remain Jewish, the fellowship holds. Gentiles who believe are grafted into the olive tree of Israel by faith, becoming spiritual sons and daughters of Abraham. As a congregation they keep Shabbat, the biblical feast days and the kosher dietary laws. They affirm the physical and spiritual restoration of Israel. Belief in the baptism of the Holy Spirit and in gifts including prophecy and tongues is part of their confession. The fellowship states that it is not part of the Two House, Sacred Name, One Law or British Israelism movements. In 2019 The Olive Tree joined the IAMCS, a branch of the MJAA. Rabbi Robert was ordained by the IAMCS in 2025. The community follows a weekly Torah portion schedule. Its outreach includes a Tuesday community soup kitchen and a food distribution on the fourth Friday of each month.IAMCSMJAA
