Messianic Jewish congregation · Lake Katrine, NY
Adat Chaim Messianic Synagogue gathers on Shabbat at 11:00am, both in person and by livestream on YouTube and Facebook. Worshippers follow along with the congregation's own siddur. Its motto, "Blessing and Life in Messiah Yeshua," echoes the call of Deuteronomy 30:19 to choose life.
Its members are Jews and non-Jews who seek "to live in covenant community with one another through the power of the Ruach HaKodesh." Adat Chaim holds that Yeshua is fully G-d and fully man. Salvation, it teaches, comes by the grace of G-d alone through faith in Yeshua's death on behalf of our sins. The congregation affirms that the Jewish people have an irrevocable priestly gift and calling, one that includes Jewish followers of Yeshua. It understands the return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland as part of the fulfillment of prophecy. It looks to a time when Israel and the nations will be one under the rule of the Messiah.
Scripture as originally written is held to be the inerrant word of G-d. Disciples are immersed in the tevilah, or water baptism, in keeping with Romans 6. Rav Peter Lundgren and Rebbetzin Debra Lundgren serve as the congregational leaders.
