Adat Yeshua Messianic Congregation KS
Lenexa, KS
Adat Yeshua is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Lenexa, Kansas. It describes itself as the original Messianic congregation in the Kansas City area, teaching and serving there for over 35 years. Jewish and non-Jewish visitors are welcome, and attendance is open to all. Shabbat begins Friday evening with an Erev Shabbat service on Zoom at 7:15. On Saturday at 10:30, Shacharit Shabbat meets in person in Lenexa, with Zoom access as well. Worship brings together liturgical prayer and Messianic worship. Torah study takes place within the Saturday service, following an annual cycle of Torah, Haftarah and Gospel readings from First Fruits of Zion. Guests are asked to dress modestly. The community understands itself as standing "in continuity with Jewish heritage, lifestyle and Covenantal calling." It holds that this hope is realized in Yeshua, the promised Holy One of Israel foretold by the prophets. Adat Yeshua observes the Jewish Holy Days and Sabbaths. The congregation is committed to the welfare of the historical Jewish community and the modern Land of Israel. It also affirms that Jewish people should maintain their distinct culture and Covenantal responsibilities, and believes that G-d answers prayer. On Wednesday evenings, Deb leads a half-hour book study called A Lesson a Day on Zoom. Jerry Feldman is the congregation's Rabbi Emeritus.

Or HaOlam Messianic Congregation
Overland Park, KS
Or HaOlam is a Messianic Jewish synagogue in Overland Park, led by Rabbi Shmuel Wolkenfeld. The community meets every Saturday morning at 10 for Shabbat. It is affiliated with the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations & Synagogues and is a member of the Messianic Jewish Alliance of America. The congregation worships the G-d of Israel and Yeshua the Messiah of Israel. It teaches that its reason for existence is the covenants G-d made with the Jewish people. Tracing its roots to Genesis 12, Or HaOlam describes itself as "fundamentally a Judaism, not a Christianity." It affirms salvation through personal faith in the atoning death and resurrection of Yeshua. Jewish identity, it holds, rests on covenant, not replacement. The community also looks for the restoration and survival of the nation of Israel. Gentiles are understood as grafted into the olive tree, and all nations are welcome to a Torah lifestyle. That welcome does not negate Jewish identity. The congregation teaches that conversion to Judaism undermines the New Testament message of Gentiles grafted in. On Tuesdays a Messianic Judaism class meets from 6:30 to 7:30. TeeRosh follows, an hour of prayer, dance and song. Both meet in person and on Zoom. Weekly readings pair the Torah portion with the Prophets and the Gospels. Speakers are available to churches and Bible studies on Israel and the Jewish roots of the Christian faith.

Remnant of Israel
Wichita, KS
Remnant of Israel is a Messianic synagogue in Wichita, Kansas, made up of Jewish and non-Jewish believers in Yeshua. Saturday mornings open at 9 with an open study and discussion of the week's Torah portion. The Shabbat service follows at 10. It brings prayer, praise and worship in music and dance, Shabbat School for children and a congregational message. The community's mission is to bring the Good News of Yeshua "to the Jew first and then the Gentile." It holds that God chose Israel and made an everlasting covenant with the Jewish people. It teaches that God gave them the Torah as a covenantal way of life and the land as an eternal inheritance. Jewish believers in Yeshua, it teaches, have not left their heritage but are true sons and daughters of Israel. Jews and Gentiles together form one new man in Messiah. Most members are non-Jewish believers, alongside some Jewish believers. Part of the mission is helping Christians reclaim their Jewish heritage. Philip Snell is head elder and congregational leader, serving with a plurality of elders who share the teaching and shepherding. On Friday evenings, Kesher Groups welcome Shabbat over a shared meal in leaders' homes across town. There is also a youth group for grades 7 through 12, Hebrew classes and a study called Foundations of Messianic Faith. Each year the congregation keeps Passover, First Fruits, Shavuot, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkot, along with Hanukkah and Purim.
